Rebecca Smith
Rebecca Smith has been part of the Wicks Emmett family since 2005. She graduated from Eastern Oregon University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2004 and earned her CPA license in 2011. In December 2017, she completed her Master’s Degree in Taxation through Golden Gate University.
Rebecca focuses on estate and trust tax return preparation, as well as estate planning and research, and individual and business taxation. Her favorite part of working with estates and trusts is helping families through an otherwise very difficult time and taking some of the burden off of them. She says, “guiding the personal rep or trustee through the various tax filings and seeing the relief in their eyes when the job is complete is one of the most rewarding parts of my job”.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family on their little farm outside of Grants Pass. They currently have three dogs, two horses, and a cat, with plans to add a goat or two in the near future. Her two kids enjoy taking care of the animals, especially their beloved Pomsky (Pomeranian and Husky) puppy who shares the same birthday as Rebecca! When not on the farm, she also loves to take annual road trips with her best friend she’s known since Kindergarten. They’ve covered 14 states and counting with plans for many more.
